My Antique Wall Clock Collection: A Quick YouTube Tour

Allow me to take 5 minutes of your time to watch my video of 19 wall clocks in my collection. Each wall clock is identified by its maker, where known. The video features background music throughout, with a brief segment of sound highlighting the winding of a Mauthe wall clock. Otherwise, there is no dialog.

My only requirement is that the clock must be in good working order and have an appealing appearance.

My entire collection consists of 85 clocks. Many are on display in my home, and some are in the process of restoration or repair.

Check out my Pequegnat clock video as well.

  1. I did not know that you have a youtube channel! Nice. Great to see the clocks in action. Hard to say which one I liked the most – maybe the Mauthe wall clock. Thanks!

  2. Hello, I own a near perfect condition, working, Arthur Pequegnat wall clock, VERNON, likely dated 1913. It was my grandmother’s, then my mother’s (Canadians by birth) and now mine. I am looking for an interested buyer. I live in Rochester, NY. It needs a home where it will continue to be admired, enjoyed and loved.

    1. Thank you for reaching out and for sharing the history of your Arthur Pequegnat Vernon wall clock. It sounds like a wonderful piece with a meaningful family provenance.

While I’m not looking to acquire another clock at the moment, I can say that a Vernon hall clock in near-perfect, working condition would be a very attractive addition to almost any Canadian clock collection. These clocks are well regarded, and examples with strong originality and family history are always of interest.

My best advice would be to contact a reputable auction house with experience in Canadian clocks. Miller & Miller Auctioneers & Appraisers, in particular, have an excellent track record with Arthur Pequegnat clocks and a strong base of knowledgeable collectors. They would be well positioned to present your clock to an audience that would truly appreciate and care for it.

I wish you the best of luck in finding the right next home for such a fine heirloom.

      Kind regards,
      Ron
